Usage of wvo, that is Waste vegetable oil as a bio-fuel to power diesel engines, is gaining a lot of importance these days especially with all the concern about Global warming and carbon emission issues troubling everyone from individuals to environmentalists to organisations committed to saving the earth from its adverse effects.
WVO, the waste oil got after frying food items as the oil cannot be re-used, is available at restaurants and centres and companies that manufacture fried food items. It is sold to the people who enter into a contract with the company. They buy it at the agreed rate, and then process and filter it to get the bio-fuel. This way, there is no wastage of oil and people have a new power source for their vehicles, which falls into the Green Energy bracket.
Since the whole world is on the ‘Go Green’ campaign these days, the usage of this oil as an environmentally friendly fuel source is gaining precedence.
At collective bio-diesel conferences, all the small scale bio-diesel brewers bond as in a small, closely knit community. They are given incentives and special gifts for the amount of effort they put in to make this a viable business enterprise.
Information on the methods of processing and filtering, the innovations that can be done in the manufacturing process, success stories are all discussed here.
